"Just a "Stone's Throw" across the ay from Downtown MoreheadCity - this beautiful little island is home to white egrets, gray heron, playful otters and other water fowl.  Stand on the sandy beach and watch the Dolphin play right off the island ... A short ferry ride on one of our Waterfront Ferry Boats and it's picture taking time.  We suggest you bring comfortable walking shoes and water to drink.  There are new bathrooms on the island but no water to drink.
